The Forum | Me Too: A Conversation on Sexual Assault*

The Forum is New City Players’ gathering where people from our city witness and engage in civil discourse.

The project’s aim is to create a space where essential issues pertinent to the human condition and/or our cultural moment can be discussed and debated with a spirit of charity. In an effort to continually humanize each "issue", the forum will retain a storytelling element familiar to those who have attended City Speaks.

The Forum is a free 2 hour event that includes a panel discussion, storytelling, short presentations, and Q&A followed by a time of public interaction and reflection.

*CONTENT WARNING: This Forum will contain content and descriptions not suitable for children and may be distressing for attendees.

New Play Reading

We believe it is the responsibility of theatre makers to nurture the talent of local writers by giving them a place for their work to be fleshed out by actors & directors, and providing a stage where their work can be engaged with and critiqued by the public.

On May 18th, 2019 we will host our third New Play Staged Reading at ArtServe in Fort Lauderdale. All submissions for this reading are due before April 1st.
