Teaching the Art of Storytelling.
The research is clear: nothing captures a human being’s attention like a great story.
Every student, regardless of their interest in the arts, should know how to speak publicly and tell a great story. Comprised of original curriculum, School for Stories teaches the power of storytelling to Broward County students, at no cost to the schools themselves.
Our workshop, led by New City Players' ensemble members, Tim Davis and Ryan Maloney, teaches the science behind a great story, the physical requirements of good communication, and the art and craft of storytelling.
School for Stories also completes the following Common Core State Standards for English grades 6-12:
Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, relevant descriptive details, and well-structured event sequences.
